Josh!

So I'm going to brag for a minute about my wonderful husband because he has been working REALLY hard! First, a few months ago he got 2 awards for having the highest test score in his class! Then after months of research he finished his 25 page paper! (after the first turn in there were only a few corrections his professor wanted him to make). Also on monday he had his final Mock Trial and I got to be on the jury and watch! He did an amazing job! While the jury deliberated we all dismissed the testimony of the witness Josh had cross examined! His "team" won by an 8-0 vote! Needless to say, Josh ROCKS! One last tiny little detail....he is graduating in exactly THREE weeks! Hooray! :-)
p.s. I Love You!

This week has been a little tricky to navagate through, but here I am on Sunday feeling very renewed and ready for whats ahead. Earlier this week I was feeling very overwhelmed at the thought of the move and changes that are creeping up on me and Josh. I was also getting a bit of senioritis and wanted to slack a bit in my duties with my calling, work, and at home. I just kept thinking to myself "what is the point!". Then at mutual on tuesday one of my girls gave me that neckalce that I took a picture of! She got it for me while on a family trip in las vegas! I was so touched I almost started crying. I felt so guilty for my earlier thoughts, how selfish of me. It probably seems so trivial and insignificant, but it means so much to me!

I had another sweet little experience today. After every stake conference the floral arrangements are taken apart and arranged into several smaller vases which are taken to widows from each ward. I was in charge of one of the vases and so on our way home Josh and I stopped at the assigned house. Her name is Sister Young and her husband just passed away earlier this week. I knocked on the door and the sweetest elderly woman came to the door and she had the biggest smile on her face. I told who I was and that the flowers were for her. She looked so surprised then her eyes filled with tears and she asked, "How come I get these beautiful flowers?" I told her that the relief society presidency had been thinking of her and wanted the yw to deliver them to her. She was so taken back she cried a little more and I gave her a huge hug. She was so touched that people in the ward were thinking of her. It struck me how unbelievable humble and grateful this woman was. I had never met her before and because we're moving soon I probably wont ever really get to know her, but I'm so glad I had the opportunity to be touched by her example and sweet spirit. I could just feel love radiating out of her!

Here are some more pictures from the end of my thailand trip.

traveling home

i am currently sitting in the san francisco airport during a 5 hour layover. i had a quick flight from bangkok to hong kong then the flight from you-know-where to san francisco. the seats were so uncomfortable (different from the ones over), there were two screaming/kicking kids behind me under the age of 3, one across the aisle, and two infront. now i'm not a saint, but i am pretty patient when it comes to kids. i understand that its a long flight, kids just wiggley and grumpy and there are meltdowns, but 14 hours of it straight from all of them!!!! It was a bit excessive and to the point where the parents REALLY needed to do something more then try to just shhhh them. they need a miracle airplane kit like the one tracy packed up for the kids on our way over! To add to my frustration, there were glitches in the movie system and it either wouldn't play to right show, or it started in the middle or the very end. but i am alive and awake which is more than i was expecting! my last flight from sf to phoenix was supposed to be at 4:00 and stopped through las vegas where i was told i would probably get delayed, but i was given the option of taking a 6:00 flight that is direct and gets in only 20 minutes later. so i decided i'd rather get on just on plane and enjoy being able to walk around the airport a bit. plus the first flight was super crowded and this second one has about 25 people on it!!!! horray to having a whole row to myself!!!!!!!! especially after my last flight. can't wait to be home and i REALLY can't wait to FINALLY see josh!!!!!
