Last day of school!!!

Last Day of School! I've been so excited for this day because it's been so unbelievable hot and I'm anxious to get back to California, but when I slowed down a bit it hit me that I wouldn't see a lot of these children again. That made me really sad. They are so cute and say the funniest things. My favorite part of the day is waking them up from nap time and helping them put everything away...this is when they are either in a super good mood because they just slept for two hours or they are still out of it and say the craziest things! I especially love when they climb on my lap and just want to be a cuddle bug for 10 minutes before they fully wake up! Here are some pictures of my class!

Gabriel
My girls! Lola, Natalie, and Dylan (they are the funniest and sassiest!)
Maya! She loves everything Princess. If shes sad (which she likes to pretend to be a lot) you can say anything about Princesses and she will instantly smile! She loves climbing on me and LOVES hugs and being tickled!
Aidan is absolutely hillarious, when he isn't driving me crazy. He has no personal space boundaries, will shout "Miss Meredith" as loud as he can until you come over there (and even then he might keep going for a little bit), and will ask you the same question over and over again hoping the answer will change. He is super bright, but gets bored real easily. He's so cute though because he can sense when I'm getting frustrated or annoyed and he'll stop what he's doing and will say, "I need a hug." I think that's his way of telling me "YOU look like you need a hug." He is also the most polite. If he sneezes he he will quickly remind you to say bless you to him and is he trips and falls (which happens a lot because he runs instead of walking) he will say, "Aidan okay?" to remind you to ask! hahah.
Grace is just all sunshine and giggles. Really sweet girl. She likes to sing "Here Comes the Sun" with me at lunch.

This is the Tuesday/Thursday class!
We love being silly
Monday/ Wednesday/ Friday class! It was a little too close to nap time for this bunch.
We made milkshakes for our afternoon snack! They had a choice of oreos, m &ms, sprinkles, and strawberry sauce. With whipped cream and a cherry on top.
They ate on towels in case of a spill. They LOVED having a picnic in the classroom. Plus it was 114 outside! Maya was hilarious, she kept frowning and digging her fingers in her milkshake to find the m&ms. She could accept that they were chopped and mixed in from the blender. Adian is like me, and ice cream lover. He talks about it almost everyday. He was funny, he held up his cup so excited, his eyes were buldging out and he could barely spit out a full sentence and said, "Mmisss Mmereddithhh......you make gooooood milkshake!" I just about died laughing.

Silly m/w/f picture

Bowen, likes to be called Bowie!!! (so cute!) his hair is amazing! He is the biggest snuggle bug!!!!

Mud RUN!!!!

Here are the mud run pictures!!! Yay! I accomplished my goal....I finished! That was all I could hope for! Erik (my 15 year old brother) placed 1st in his age division and 2nd overall out of 5,000 runners!!!! He finished the 6.2 mile obstacle course in a whopping 45 minutes! He is insane!

Tracy climbing over the wall!!!!

My turn!

Me, Tracy and Morgan!

Morgan totally had a Hitler mustache
hmmmm...this river looks a little sketchy
morgan and tracy are not afraid

save me

we did it
morgan had just tackled tracy...i was a little slow taking the picture

tracy sliding down in the mud

the tunnel...dun dun dun

I'm so short I just walked through it! what now?!?
morgan booking it up the hill

tracy charging the last little bit. (this picture is very deceiving. it is literally straight up and down and they squirt you with a fire hose so there is a steady muddy stream under you. its just a weird angle that makes it look flat...i swear!)

This is where I ran out of film. There was still about a mile left.
This was the most fun! I can't wait to do it next year!

A for apple....S for SnAkE!!!!!!

In the middle of group time yesterday I heard REALLY loud voices outside, which seldom happens. I just thought one of the kids was getting busted big time, but then I looked out the window and everyone was RUNNING!! One of the teachers came in to inform us we had an unwelcomed visitor. I was thinking a scary guy or something. Turns out it was a snake! I'm not really scared of snakes, if I know it's not going to bite me, but I wasn't about to pick up an unknown wild one. All of the teachers took turns looking at it through the window. It was 6 feet long! When the fire department came to remove it they said it was a gopher snake and it was the biggest one they've ever heard of! I will definitely be checking under the outdoor tables and shelves before sitting or grabbing things! Luckily the kids were oblivious to all of this. I don't think anyone from my class noticed anything was different other than we walked through someone elses class to get to our instead of going around outside.
Now I'm off to California for the Mud Run! I can't wait to finally see Josh!!!
