Meeting Uncle Erik and St. Patrick's Day!

Gidget with Uncle Mike. She thinks she is a baby too.

Smiles for Aunt Nie
Watching a little March Madness with Papa

This last picture cracks me up! Do you see her thumb sticking out? It is her magic trick. When I cover her hands it only takes her a minute to wiggle those thumbs out.

Lately:
  • Ainsley has started to really smile! Her favorite person to smile at? Daddy of course! She just lights up when she sees him.
  • Crying- Ainsley has found her voice. She doesn't cry a whole lot, but she gets a little overwhelmed around dinner time.
  • Sleep- She is still amazing at going to bed at night. After our bedtime routine we put her down awake, and she has never cried and is usually asleep within a couple minutes. That being said, she does still wake up every 3 hours or so. (Sometimes we get 5 hours, sometimes only 1)!
  • Eating- she is still a guzzler. She takes a bottle just fine, from me or anyone else (which is nice in case she gets hungry while I'm out running errands without her). I can't wait to see how much she weighs at her next appointment!!

One Month Stats

Ainsley had her one month check up on Monday and we were all shocked at her stats! We all made bets on how much she'd weigh and we were WAY off. Ainsley was 8 pounds 8 ounces and 20 1/2 inches long. This little piggy gained one pound a week! (That's about what I was gaining while pregnant with her!) Of course we were all so excited, her rolls are just about the cutest thing ever. And because a baby post can not be without a picture, here she is all bundled up to go on our first (of MANY) frozen yogurt runs!

Happy Birthday Gidget!

Gidget had her 1st birthday March 1st! It's hard to believe she is already one, mostly because she is still VERY MUCH a puppy. I don't think her energy level has lowered a bit :-) She is so fun, quirky, sassy, and cute. We love her to pieces and she brings so much love to our home. Gidget was a great support to me through the pregnancy, snuggling on the couch when I needed it, and getting me off my bum for a walk when I really didn't want to go :-) It's so fun to see how protective she is of Ainsley, I know they will be good friends as they grow up!

Call us over the top and dorky, but we had a little birthday celebration for Gidget. We gave her cheesy eggs for dinner (her favorite!), Mom Duffy made her some white cake and gave her a new toy! She loved it all!
